Ingo Sorke: "A son and father discover the Father and the Son"

"God doesn't have a Son!" A top-ranking theologian had just made this categorical statement during a committee meeting, and I was stunned. It was Spring 2014. At that very moment I vowed to read through the New Testament (in Greek!) and carefully trace the Father-Son relationship. This presentation arises out of those hours, days, years, alone in my office, embracing a new-found love for God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. John 17:3, 1 Corinthians 8:4-6, all the introductions of the apostles' letters, and the entire New Testament, really, are the record of a true Father-Son relationship - in heaven and on earth.
