When Covid hit, and the county started receiving tens of millions of dollars, Galvon Newsom amended the Brown Act to suspend the public’s access to the chamber floors. It also unleashed the subsequent discriminatory practice against people who can not wear a face mask, and now, this board practices medical apartheid by making people who enter the chambers either get vaccinated, wear a mask or speak from outside, in the lobby. So this amendment was revisited today for a vote of continuance or rescinding. The board voted to continue it. We see the writing in the wall that this will be used in the future to, once again, keep us from having equal accommodation to our constitutional right to have a redress of our grievances with our local government.
