Bacon Wrapped Cheeseburger Dogs on the Blackstone Griddle | Griddle Food Network

05/17/2021: On this week's episode of the Griddle Food Network we are griddle cooking bacon wrapped cheeseburger dogs on the 36” blackstone griddle culinary series. Go ahead and add this cook to the blackstone griddle recipes.

Chef Round Eye guides you through this how to, on griddle cooking the bacon wrapped cheeseburger dogs with this easy recipe.

Ingredients
- 1lb of 80/20 Ground Chuck
- 1lb of Bacon
- 4 Slices of American Cheese
- 2 Bun Length Hot Dogs
- Salt & Pepper
- Worchester Sauce
- BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Rays)

Additional Tools used:
- Baking / warming rack
- Basting dome

1lb of ground beef will make 2 wrapped burger dogs. Place the ground beef in a bowl and add 2 TBS of salt, 2 TBS of pepper and 2 TBS of Worchester sauce. Toss the meat blending in the seasoning. Take out half of the meat start pack into a patty pressing it out on wax paper thinning out the patty enlarging it. Add at minimum 2 pieces of cheese and then lay the hot dog towards the edge of the cheese and begin to roll it up.

Once the meat is rolled up, close up the the ends . Ensure the cheese and hot dog are sealed in the hamburger meat.

Roll the meat in bacon. 1lb of bacon will take cover 2 bacon wrapped cheeseburger dogs. Begin with 1 strip being placed from end to end. Then begin to wrap bacon around the meat over lapping each piece.

You may want to use skewers to hold the bacon in place. Place the bacon on the griddle top and rotate the wrapped cheeseburger dogs every 5 minutes. Once you see the bacon is cooked, you will want to finish the cook on baking/waring rack no higher than 1 inch off the griddle top cover with basting dome. Add water for steam effect. Once on the baking /warming continue rotating every 5 minutes and use a meat thermometer to check the hamburger meat temp. Your goal is 155 degrees to ensure the meat is cooked. Once it reached feel free to baste in a bbq sauce and keep under cover for a minimum 10 minutes.
