20211014 The Perfect Leader - The Daily Summation

Short of The Almighty (God), I'm just not of a mind a perfect leader is forthcoming.

I would just settle for one who doesn't mess things up too badly (I think we've had a few of those in this country, but not a lot).

If you're in search of the "perfect leader" though, I'm pretty convinced you're MORE THAN A LITTLE confused.

The question came up in my mind while I was watching one of Dinesh D'Souza's podcasts.

I'm pretty sure he and I (and others, like Madison), generally agree this is NOT a possibility.

This is (in my view, and I don't think I'm far off the beaten track on this), WHY American government was set up as it was.

There were some things I think the Founders (and others along the way) could have done better (term limits for senators and representatives come to mind).

Overall though, I think it was a pretty wise decision to set things up as the did.

Why?

Well, part of the reason is that I JUST DON'T BELIEVE IN, the "perfect (Earthly) leader.

I cover this in a little more depth in this edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
