What Makes Marriages work? We discuss whether more couples should discuss fundamental differences between them before getting married or just hope they won't matter down the road.

Are couples discussing differences of religion, politics or toothpaste habits before they get married? Is it important to do so? Would less marriages end in divorce if these types of discussions happened?

We obviously aren't debating whether these types of topics are the sole root of divorce, but just that it might play a factor in it. We both have marriages where we had/have differences at that core level and we discuss what we did before marriage and after.
