The parent Kookaburra has been hand-fed at this location for about 12 months. The Kookaburra tend to come and go, though they do seem to be in the adjacent bush area throughout the year. They are mainly fed shredded steak. They stay in the area after being feed to catch their own prey; insects, lizards, frogs, witchetty grubs, and worms
