Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama television series streaming on Netflix Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, it's ranked No. 1 in the U.S. just four days after its September 17 premiere. The nine-episode series tells the story of 456 desperate people who sign up to play traditional Korean children's games in the hope of winning a ₩45.6 billion cash prize. Once the game begins, the only way out is to win the game or get eliminated.
