Hummingbirds are the smallest bird in the world. There are over 300 species of hummingbirds and among many indigenous people they are thought to possess magical and healing powers. These fairy looking creatures are strong, swift, and migrate long distances. Hummingbirds are skillful flyers and have beautiful plumage like a rainbow. Their wings beat so fast they’re invisible to the human eye. A hummingbird is named for the humming sound its wingbeats make while flying and hovering. They can move in any direction and can go from high speed to a full stop in an instant. The hummingbird loves diversity as it can visit over 1,000 flowers per day. They have long bills and tongues to extract the nectar from flowers. They could not live without flowers and many flowers could not be pollinated without them. At night, the hummingbirds slow down their metabolism and hibernate to conserve energy.

Hummingbirds have a lot of energy and like adventure. They amaze others with their ability to go from far away to near and then back in the blink of an eye. Since they are optimistic and full of joy, they affect others the same way. Hummingbirds are extremely sensitive, drawn to those who are light and positive. The independent hummingbird has its own unique way of doing things. Although tiny, they want to do everything in a big way. Hummingbirds choose their own path and like to challenge the impossible. When they come up with a goal, they immediately follow it, unconcerned whether it’s reasonable or not.

Like angels, hummingbirds come and go quickly. They are playful, persistent and a symbol for beauty, agility, and good luck. Their message: be grateful and dream. To learn more, check out our website and get a free power animal reading. And thank you for subscribing. https://www.poweranimals.info
