France: Hundreds flood Paris streets protesting against 'imposing' of vaccination and health passes

Hunderte von Demonstranten versammelten sich am Dienstag vor dem Senat in Paris, um ihre Ablehnung des Gesundheitspasses zum Ausdruck zu bringen, mit dem die Verbreitung des Coronavirus eingedämmt werden soll.

Die Demonstrantin Eliane sagte: "Was ich schockierend finde, ist der Ansatz der Sozialisten, den Impfstoff vorzuschreiben, Geldstrafen zu verhängen, 1500 Euro Strafe. Wir befinden uns angeblich in einem Land der Freiheit und der Demokratie, ich glaube, dass das nach und nach völlig verschwindet."

Der Senat wird am Mittwoch zusammentreten, um über den Gesetzentwurf für eine Impfpflicht für alle französischen Bürger zu beraten.

Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the Senate in Paris on Tuesday to express their disapproval of the health passport, the measure put in place to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Protesters Eliane said: "What I find shocking is the approach of the Socialists, to want to impose the vaccine, to want to impose fines, 1500 euros fine. We are supposedly in a country of freedom and democracy, I believe that little by little that is disappearing completely."

The Senate meeting is scheduled for Wednesday to discuss the bill for mandatory vaccination for all French citizens.

Cientos de manifestantes se reunieron el martes frente al Senado en París para expresar su desaprobación del pasaporte sanitario, la medida puesta en marcha para ayudar a frenar la propagación del coronavirus.

La manifestante Eliane dijo: "Lo que me parece chocante es el planteamiento de los socialistas, querer imponer la vacuna, querer imponer multas, 1500 euros de multa. Se supone que estamos en un país de libertad y democracia, creo que poco a poco eso está desapareciendo por completo".

Está previsto que el Senado se reúna el miércoles para debatir el proyecto de ley de vacunación obligatoria para todos los ciudadanos franceses.
