Bei einer Kundgebung indigener Völker am Montag in Washington DC kam es zu Verhaftungen. Der Protest fand im Rahmen einer Reihe von Demonstrationen in mehreren US-Bundesstaaten am Tag der indigenen Völker statt, der mit dem Kolumbus-Tag zusammenfällt, der an die Ankunft von Christoph Kolumbus in Amerika erinnert. Arrests were made as indigenous people rallied in Washington DC on Monday. The protest was held as part of series of demonstrations in several US states on Indigenous Peoples' Day which coincides with Columbus Day that marks Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas. The protest started with a march from Freedom Plaza to the White House, to demand the Biden administration stop pipelines from being constructed through indigenous lands across the United States.
