Unlike other automakers, Toyota has invested heavily into hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles as opposed to battery EVs and has been ridiculed for it. Well, it appears ignoring their haters for this move has paid off. They have just set the Guinness Wold Record for a hydrogen powered vehicle traveling 845 miles on one fill up. Which this record setting attempt should’ve also counted for electric vehicles traveling on one charge as well considering no other electric vehicle, hydrogen or battery powered, has traveled that far on its maximum energy capacity.

In this video we take a look at how Toyota set this new world record in a vehicle market stacked against them.
