Italy: Hundreds of union strikers march against Green Pass implementation - 11.10.2021

Hunderte von Streikenden zogen am Montag mit Fahnen durch Rom, um gegen die Einführung des "Grünen Passes" für den Impfstoff COVID-19 zu demonstrieren. Mitglieder verschiedener Gewerkschaftsverbände, wie der Confederazione dei Comitati di Base (Cobas), trugen rote Fahnen, als sie durch das Stadtzentrum marschierten. Die Demonstranten beklagten die schwindende Nähe der Politik und der 1944 gegründeten CGIL zu den Arbeitnehmern und die dadurch sinkende Wahlbeteiligung bei den Kommunalwahlen. "Sie haben keine Intensivstation eröffnet, sie haben kein Krankenhaus eröffnet und in den letzten Jahren Hunderte von Krankenhäusern geschlossen, geht es hier nur um den Impfstoff? Nur der Impfstoff?", fragte ein Demonstrant. Der Grüne Pass war zuvor im Rahmen weiterer Maßnahmen gegen die COVID-Pandemie für Arbeitnehmer ab dem 15. Oktober zur Pflicht erklärt worden. Mit ihm wurde entweder die Impfung, die Genesung oder ein belasteter negativer Test nachgewiesen. Im Gegenzug sorgt der Grüne Pass dafür, dass ab Montag Erleichterungen möglich sind und Kinos, Theater und Konzertsäle wieder mit größerer Kapazität betrieben werden können.

Hundreds of strikers were seen marching with flags in Rome on Monday to demonstrate against the the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine 'Green Pass.' Members of various trade union centres, such as the Confederazione dei Comitati di Base (Cobas), carried red flags as they marched through the city centre. The protesters complained about the dwindling proximity of politics and the CGIL, founded in 1944, to workers and the resulting dwindling turnout in local elections. "They have not opened an intensive care unit, they haven't opened a hospital and have closed hundreds of them in recent years, is this just about the vaccine? Only the vaccine?," asked one protester. The Green Pass was previously declared mandatory for workers from October 15th as part of further measures against the COVID pandemic. It proved either vaccination, recovery, or a charged negative test. In return, the Green Pass ensures that from Monday onwards relaxations would be possible, such as cinemas, theatres and concert halls once again operating at larger capacity.

Cientos de huelguistas fueron vistos marchando con banderas en Roma el lunes para manifestarse contra la aplicación del "Pase Verde" de la vacuna COVID-19. Miembros de diversas centrales sindicales, como la Confederazione dei Comitati di Base (Cobas), portaban banderas rojas mientras marchaban por el centro de la ciudad. Los manifestantes se quejaron de la cada vez menor proximidad de la política y de la CGIL, fundada en 1944, a los trabajadores y de la consiguiente disminución de la participación en las elecciones locales. "No han abierto una unidad de cuidados intensivos, no han abierto un hospital y han cerrado cientos de ellos en los últimos años, ¿se trata sólo de la vacuna? ¿Sólo la vacuna?", preguntó un manifestante. El Pase Verde fue declarado obligatorio para los trabajadores a partir del 15 de octubre como parte de las medidas adicionales contra la pandemia de COVID. En él se acreditaba la vacunación, la recuperación o una prueba negativa cargada. A cambio, el Pase Verde asegura que a partir del lunes se podrán hacer relajaciones, como que los cines, teatros y salas de conciertos vuelvan a funcionar a mayor capacidad.
