Italy: Chaos hits Rome streets as anti-AX pass protesters clash with police

⁣Clashes between anti-COVID pass protesters and police forces took a violent turn in Rome on Saturday, as officers used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

According to local sources, at least ten thousand protesters participated in the anti-COVID pass and anti-vaccination rally.

Protesters blocked streets with makeshift barricades and reportedly occupied the premises of the Federation of Italian trade Unions' building in the capital.

Several protesters were taken away by the police.
