New Path to the Old Line

Convention of States Action Maryland volunteer Steve Patten takes a heartfelt trip to the site where Marylanders of "The Old Line" saved General George Washington and the Continental Army. The "Maryland 400" attacked and held off a vastly superior British force at the Battle of Brooklyn, the first battle between the Crown and the newly United States after the signing of the Declaration of Independence the month before. Without the sacrifices made by the First Maryland Regiment that day, the Revolution would have ended, and the history of the world would have been terribly different. Because of their sacrifice, Americans need not take up arms to correct their government. The American People can enact change on a national scale using powers reserved to them in Article V of the US Constitution.
