Beautiful Waterfall In Sri Lanka - Dumbara Ella Falls

Several kinds of fish, including Garra phillipsi, Puntius martenstyni, Puntius srilankensis, Labeo fisheri, and fresh water shrimp, as well as the otter, may be found in the pools around the fall, which are of considerable zoological interest to Sri Lanka (Lutra lutra).

The fall is located in the Matale District's Kalupahana region (Laggala Divisional Secretariat). To reach the ancient settlements of Illukumbra, Rathninda, and Mahalakotuwa, which are part of the Dumbara Forest, use the 36-kilometer road from Matale through Rattota or the 7-kilometer road from Laggala. It's then a four-hour hike through the dense bush from any of these villages.
