Juvenile bird is duller overall with a white-streaked throat and a black bill like female ones.
The birds often found on fruiting trees, especially on figs in wooded gardens, groves, moist-deciduous stands and open forests. Its food includes insects and fruits, especially figs. The birds spend much of their time on tree canopies. While foraging the species uses foliage-gleening, wood-gleening, or sallying methods. The song is rich, fluty, and mellow. Calls include raspy, nasal notes that can sound like a croak. The breeding season is from March to June; the nest is built in a tree, usually at the tip of branches and contains two eggs.
