Comrades and Barons Gates of Freedom

The Great War had barely ended, when Red Army started an offensive westwards to ignite the revolution in Europe. In this turn-based hex wargame you will experience the war operations of that exciting and turbulent time.

The end of the Great War did not bring peace to the lands between former Russian and German empires. Young national states, created on the ruins of these empires, were almost instantly overrun by the Red Army. Red Army's goal is to reach Germany and start communist uprising that would spread across Europe.

The shortest way to Europe was through Latvia. The invasion started a war that is now known as Latvian War of Independence. Many armies with different goals clashed here. The game covers all warfare that happened in Latvian territory during that time.

German Army

Baltic German Landeswehr
West Russian Volunteer Army
Polish Army

The game is played on a detailed hex map, with the company as lowest unit level. Higher level units utilise artillery, armoured trains and vehicles as combat support.
