Poland: Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya gives speech at protest against Lukashenko - 06.10.2021

Former Belarusian presidential opposition candidate and human rights activist Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya gave a speech to a group of anti-Lukashenko protesters in Warsaw on Wednesday night. "I understand the importance of such meetings, I know that you, the Belarusians of Warsaw, organise pickets for different occasions and without reason very often, to meet and support each other, and this is your strength. I know that many are tired and such meetings are very important to keep our spirits up because sometimes all we have left in moments of despair and depression are those who are with us, who will give us a shoulder to lean on and help us pass through a difficult period of life," Tsikhanouskaya stated to the cheering crowd.

Die ehemalige belarussische Oppositionskandidatin für das Präsidentenamt und Menschenrechtsaktivistin Swetlana Tsikhanouskaja hielt am Mittwochabend eine Rede vor einer Gruppe von Anti-Lukaschenko-Demonstranten in Warschau. "Ich weiß, wie wichtig solche Treffen sind, ich weiß, dass Sie, die Belarussen in Warschau, zu verschiedenen Anlässen und ohne Grund sehr oft Mahnwachen organisieren, um sich zu treffen und gegenseitig zu unterstützen, und das ist Ihre Stärke. Ich weiß, dass viele von Ihnen müde sind und dass solche Treffen sehr wichtig sind, um uns bei Laune zu halten, denn manchmal bleiben uns in Momenten der Verzweiflung und der Depression nur diejenigen, die bei uns sind, die uns eine Schulter zum Anlehnen geben und uns helfen, eine schwierige Lebensphase zu überstehen", erklärte Tsikhanouskaya vor der jubelnden Menge.

"Comprendo la importancia de este tipo de reuniones, sé que vosotros, los bielorrusos de Varsovia, organizáis piquetes en diferentes ocasiones y sin motivo alguno muy a menudo, para reuniros y apoyaros mutuamente, y esta es vuestra fuerza. Sé que muchos están cansados y que este tipo de reuniones son muy importantes para mantener el ánimo, porque a veces lo único que nos queda en los momentos de desesperación y depresión son aquellos que están con nosotros, que nos darán un hombro en el que apoyarnos y nos ayudarán a pasar un periodo difícil de la vida", declaró Tsikhanouskaya ante la multitud que la animaba.
