Episode 47: Scrap Metal Into a Man Rack
The Woodland Mills saw was in a metal cage when it was shipped. It was really just scrap metal once we were done putting the saw together, but looking at it gave Bryce an idea - why not reinforce it, add on slide rails on the bottom for forks, chains, some other fabrication, and turn it into man lift rack? It seemed like a good idea and I didn’t have to throw away the metal!
This may turn out to be one of our best tools!
The plans were drawn up and the started on it. It took several days but with the Harbor Freight welder, cordless grinder, and some paint, the man rack turned out pretty good!
