Bolivia coca farmers STORM market, forcing cops to retreat

On-edge farmers marched through a coca leaf market in La Paz after a week-long powder keg standoff exploded, forcing the authorities to fall back despite using tear gas.

90% of the country's legal coca leaf is traded in the market, but growers from Las Yungas are furious that their previous monopoly on the trade has been hijacked by pro-govt groups.

Two protesters and two security personnel were reportedly injured.
