House of the Dragon is a medieval fantasy series created by Ryan J. Condal and George R. R. Martin, scheduled to debut in 2022 on HBO. The series is based on a specific part of the Fire & Blood book, written by Martin.
The series is a derivative production of the series Game of Thrones (2011-2019), set 173 years before the events of Game of Thrones and will feature half-brothers Rhaenyra Targaryen and Aegon II's struggle for possession of the Iron Thrones of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.
