Illusione Maduro Holy Lance Cigar Review - This 7.5x40 stick features a dark cocoa firmly packed wrapper with an oily slightly toothy wrapper, rustic lumpy satin feel, triple pigtailed cap and faint sweet cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium bodied notes of a super smooth musty aged tobacco, slight cocoa and big leather on the long finish. The first third continues without change, burning perfectly and very slowly but with short 1/2" ash falls. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes still dropping short ash but burning perfectly. Body is still medium with just a hint of strength. Flavors are still a very smooth experience dropping the mustiness and the leather dominates while a slight coffee joins the draw and a building pepper comes through the long finish. Ending at 1:20 the last third goes to a smooth blend of sweeter cocoa, coffee, leather and pepper with a long dry finish and matching medium strength slowly ramping up.
