Brazil: Anti-govt protesters flood streets of Sao Paulo - 02.10.2021

Protesters took to the streets of Sao Paulo, on Saturday, to protest against Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, demanding his resignation for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. "We have to do a good intervention work to oppose this Bolsonaro government. We can't wait for the 2022 elections because our problems are happening now", a protester named Gustavo explained. Bolsonaro has in recent months stated on multiple occasions he will not step down and even possibly challenge the results of the 2022 federal elections if he does not win.

Demonstranten gingen am Samstag in Sao Paulo auf die Straße, um gegen den brasilianischen Präsidenten Jair Bolsonaro zu protestieren und seinen Rücktritt wegen seines Umgangs mit der COVID-19-Pandemie zu fordern. "Wir müssen eine gute Interventionsarbeit leisten, um uns dieser Bolsonaro-Regierung entgegenzustellen. Wir können nicht bis zu den Wahlen im Jahr 2022 warten, denn unsere Probleme treten jetzt auf", erklärte ein Demonstrant namens Gustavo. Bolsonaro hat in den letzten Monaten mehrfach erklärt, er werde nicht zurücktreten und möglicherweise sogar die Ergebnisse der Bundeswahlen 2022 anfechten, falls er nicht gewinnt.

Manifestantes salieron a las calles de Sao Paulo, este sábado, para protestar contra el presidente brasileño Jair Bolsonaro, exigiendo su renuncia por su manejo de la pandemia del COVID-19. "Tenemos que hacer un buen trabajo de intervención para oponernos a este gobierno de Bolsonaro. No podemos esperar a las elecciones de 2022 porque nuestros problemas están sucediendo ahora", explicó un manifestante llamado Gustavo. Bolsonaro ha declarado en los últimos meses en múltiples ocasiones que no renunciará e incluso que posiblemente impugnará los resultados de las elecciones federales de 2022 si no gana.
