239-meter wind turbine collapses hours before official launch in Germany

Germany, which is trying to increase its use of renewable energy sources, was forced to suspend the operation of 19 wind turbines due to safety concerns after one of them collapsed near the town of Haltern, just hours before it was to be officially launched.
