There are a few reasons as outlined in this video but it essentially boils down to sustainability and safer ingredients for your hair. How expensive are haircare bars? I'm in Canada and this brand I use are between $15-18 depending on the province. In US dollars, it would be around $12-15. Super cheap considering how long they last!
