Hey there so rats have been killing my chickens and pigeons. They will take a half grown chicken or adult pigeon and pull them down their hole. Trying to stop them has been pointless. NO matter what I did or do, they just keep coming. Here in Toronto, Canada, rats get massive like the size of a cat. They are very aggressive and over power birds as large as pigeons. Rats run in packs here. I do not know why but if anyone else lives in this area you will know what I am talking about. Cats that will take on rats this size usually are special cats that have been trained by their mothers. Or Bengal cats like my f3 Bengal has leopard cat wild blood in here. Since the leopard cat is a wild cat a true wild cat the prey drive of my cute pet f3 Bengal is insane. She will hunt rats as big as she is. Not only that but will go after and kill other chicken predators such as weasel, snakes etc. Bengal's cats are immune to snake venom as well. But they do not make the best pets. They are always active, they do not listen and can be aggressive. I do not consider them good pets. BUT if you have a farm they are the best rat killing cat money can buy! Better than a dog for sure. There is no rat vs cat here, the cat will always win.
