This is the Liberty Minute for Friday, day 565 of 15 days to slow the spread.
So Congress managed to pass a temporary bill to fund the government until December and avoided a government shutdown. Why do we have to go through this every year? September 30th is always on the calendar, yet every year October 1st comes and there still isn't a budget.
Senator Manchin indicated that $1.5 trillion is as far as he will go to vote on a reconciliation bill. That is a far cry from the $3.5 trillion his party is demanding, but there are still too many zeros in that number.
12 ½ percent. A universal, across-the-board budget cut of only 12 ½ % would balance the budget. Instead, the people in DC want to keep raising the spending higher.
Senator Scott introduced a bill to ban vaccine passport requirements on interstate travel while Senator Feinstein introduced a bill to require vaccine passports on interstate air travel. Do you think either bill has a chance?
Until tomorrow, protect your liberties. Once they're gone there's no getting them back.
