Fr. Isaac explains the role of chastisements in our good God's merciful plan to help save His people. While they are a punishment, they are more profoundly a blessing – because they are a call for us to abandon our sinful ways and return to Him; to repent and convert. Thus, we can cooperate with His grace to save our soul! Yes, the coronavirus is such a chastisement and if men do not amend their lives, we should expect more – and even worse – chastisements. Our nation, our society, and our Church have many sins to atone for. Father also clarifies what is the proper Catholic response to COVID-19 (or any chastisement) and explains the spiritual weapons we need in this time.
