NHS (Part 3) - Setting unrealistic expectations

Let's get real. The NHS is worth saving and it must provide decent service. Most agree the NHS is overstretched. There are two sides to that. Not enough resource or asking too much. Does it have to out-perform the fanciest luxury private hospital in the world? No. This episode reveals how politicians seeking to win elections, have spent two decades out-bragging each other about what they can get the NHS to deliver. This has raised public expectations to stratospheric levels and perverted the demands placed on the NHS, by stupidly commoditising care, which creates numbness in carers. To save the NHS understand its wrong turns over the last quarter century.
