Expert on Energy Crisis Spreading Across China and Europe

China is heavily reliant on imported energy, especially coal. Coal supplies almost 60 percent of its energy, according to U.S. government statistics.

The Chinese regime banned coal imports from Australia last year after it called for an independent investigation into the origins of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

Over the past week, power cuts have forced factories to close, households have lost power, even traffic lights have gone out.

A utility company said water supplies in one region could be disrupted at any moment, before apologizing for causing alarm.

Goldman Sachs estimates that over 40 percent of China's industrial activity is affected by the shortages. It's downgrading China's growth estimate as a result.

NTD spoke with Tracy Shuchart, energy strategist at Hedge Fund Telemetry, about the global energy challenges.
