20210929 Slaying the Dragon - The Daily Summation

Recently on social media, I found someone likening eradicating COVID-19 to "Slaying a dragon."

The first thing I want to say, is that the analogy is NOT a good one. Imagine a trillion dragons. Then try to talk about slaying them ALL.

That would be far more apt.

Ignoring that though, the idea of "completely killing" COVID-19, is a silly one, just looking at the other viral infections we currently deal with.

Take for example, the 'flu.

After YEARS AND YEARS of 'flu shots being available, is it still alive and kicking?

Yep!

Is that likely to change?

Not so much.

Neither should you expect such for SARS-COV-2.

Expect it to be around for a VERY LONG TIME.

The hope would be that it becomes less deadly, whether or not it becomes more communicable.
