Edit your vinyl record and cassette rips with open source software, Audacity and MusicBrainz using Mac, Windows, Linux
Audacity is a free, open source program that can be installed and used on a Mac, PC, or Linux. https://www.audacityteam.org/
You can use it to record audio from any source as long as you have a sound card that has a line-in or a microphone (for voice). There are several USB audio capture devices as well, including the Focusrite Scarlett, various models by Korg and Behringer, and a slew of other options.
You can also use a CD recorder like a Tascam CD-RW900MKII to plug a direct connection between your turntable's preamp directly into the CD Recorder's input.
Finally, some turntables have a USB output which connects directly into your computer. In that case, no extra gear is needed!
