Episode 320: He Was Hooked On Opioids For His Broken Back

While working at the Dallas airport during a freak winter storm, Russell Langhammer fell and broke his back. His recovery included taking pharmaceuticals for pain but, over the years, the drugs changed his personality and contributed to heart problems requiring open heart surgery. When he started taking cannabis, and weaning himself off the opioids, his life returned to normal. A truly inspiring story.
