Painting the ocean in oils

A time-lapse video showing the second stage of the painting process. This painting shows an ocean scenery in Victoria near Port Campbell.
During the first stage an initial block in was done using a basic palette of Ultramarine Blue, Flake white replacement, phthalo green, Venetian red, yellow ochre and Indian yellow.
In this video I show you how I started adding the detail creating form and the illusion of light.
