FIOTM 35 - I wish to learn how to ride a bike - Mackinac Island

What NOT to do on Mackinaw Island!
This will be an Independence Day we will never forget… mainly because of the scars left from the blisters on our feet!
Lesson #1
Don’t be cheap and rent a bike for at least an hour and then take a horse and buggy ride and learn some history about the Island!
Lesson #2
Avoid visiting the Island on a public holiday-unless you like being run over by a tidal-wave of bikes or be trampled under foot by sugar rushed pedestrian (avoid the Island fudge!)
Lesson #3
Go in cooler months and take lots of water and snacks otherwise you’ll pay double on the Island and run out of money!
Lesson #4
Don’t bother dragging your ebikes on board the ferry; you won’t be allowed to use them on the Island anyway!
Lesson #5
Ignore all the pointers listed above, go out and have a blast, but make sure you do it with at least some comfortable footwear!
