Thoughts to Consider - Different Places

There are many different places you and I could be right now, but sadly many people reading this will wish they could trade places with someone else.

What if you could be yourself and experience life differently, would you want to?

Did you know in meditation you can travel to different places? You don't have to trade lives with someone. You can experience many amazing things being yourself.

Traveling during meditation became very apparent to me during one of my sitting. During the 30 minute meditation, I was able to visit different places that were not on this Earth.

I was even able to become a different person and experience life from that person's perspective.

You may not believe me or perhaps you think this is not possible, that's ok. This was my experience and does not have to be your reality if you don't want it to be.

If you want to know how I able to do this continue on.

Am I some meditation yogi Guru? Was I able to transcend time and space? Did I connect with an alien and travel? Did I have an out-of-body experience?

The answer to these questions, in my opinion, NO.

None of these things happen to me. What happened was, I was able to for a few moments become awareness. I closed my eyes and I become aware of what is and what is not.

I connected to something inside myself which found connected to something outside of myself.

When I close my eyes I stop focusing on the physical world which I believe to be reality. Closing my eyes and opening up my heart in the moment becomes a way for me to understand others.

It gives me an outlet to understand different environments that I have not been to but have heard of. Especially places I have never been.

When I was younger I always heard about Havana, Cuba. I listen to the stories of how it was the place American's went. It was full of excitement and rich Americans who were succeeding.

In my mind's eye, I pictured what Havana must look like. I would piece together what I heard in school and on television. It never occurred to me to open up books or view pictures online.

I am happy that I never look at pictures. This allowed me to use my imagination to picture what the streets, people, and food of Havana, Cuba must look like.

I traveled to Havana, Cuba long before I went there in person. When I did see Havana it was as I had pictured it in my mind. The streets were made of stone and the architecture was of Spanish influence. The people were amazing and welcoming. The food was great as the music played.

Being able to go to different places was easy. We can close our eyes and walk where others have walked all without leaving our meditation area.

You can experience what others have experienced. You can experience someone's pain, happiness, success, loss, and journey.

How do we do this?

You have to use your imagination. You know that thing adults told you to stop using when you were a kid. Start to use that again. It will serve you well in life.

When you travel in your mind you allow your mind to open up new possibilities. You channel different energy and vibrations that you can not see, touch, or hear.

Your imagination becomes a way of looking at things you may have not considered. You begin to consider both sides of the story, not the one you're most comfortable with.

By visiting other places and seeing things from the view-point of another, you can unzip the old you. You can walk out of your old skin and become a new person.

A person who understand all things and is aware of all things. A person who can visit any place they wish to in the known and unknown universe.

You can experience life from your third eye from your perspective or of someone you don't even know.

This can happen in meditation. Use your consciousness to connect to the unseen. Sit down with your eyes closed and travel to different places.

These places could be somewhere you have wanted to go or be places from past lives or future lives.
