Do you find it difficult to stay awake when you need to get stuff done?
Have you ever wanted to take a nap but ended yourself passing out?
We've all been there, so don't worry.

Teenagers should obtain 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night on average to keep up with our increasingly fast-paced society, while adults should get 7 to 9 hours. However, the majority of Americans do not get nearly enough sleep.

When we're fatigued, the most usual response is to consume cups of coffee, redbull, or other energy drinks, anything to keep us awake in the moment. However, consuming too much caffeine can cause serious health concerns in the long run, such as dehydration, headaches, nausea, and tremors. Caffeine's effects also wear off after a few hours, leaving you even more exhausted than you were before.

There are, however, far better ways to remain awake than indulging on caffeine till your blood turns to coffee!

Staying Awake Tips:

Exercise! Exercise not only improves sleep quality, but studies show that it is also more effective than some sleep drugs at energizing the body.

Rather than eating sugary snacks that can cause a "sugar crash," stock up on protein-rich snacks.
Moving about and conversing with other people is much better than eating snacks or protein bars for keeping your mind active and focused.

Moving about and conversing with other people is much better than eating snacks or protein bars for keeping your mind active and focused. To keep your blood pumping, avoid lingering in one area or sitting in one position for too long.

Can't seem to resist the allure of a good night's sleep? A 5- to 25-minute nap can help you avoid exhaustion, improve alertness, and recall memory. After waking up, you also feel revitalized. Just remember to set alarms so you don't fall asleep too early!

Finally, it's critical to stay hydrated because dehydration can cause weariness, confusion, and fainting. Our bodies, which are 60% water, require H2O to carry nutrients to all regions of the body.

It's crucial to keep in mind that these techniques aren't a panacea for not getting enough sleep. Getting enough sleep at night is the best strategy to avoid feeling exhausted during the day!
