Many people who don't understand cryptocurrencies like to say that governments will just ban them, and for that reason they won't use cryptocurrency. Well other than the obvious reasons that decentralization things are extremely difficult and almost impossible to ban or censor, there are some further philosophical and logical reasons that I do not believe a ban on cryptocurrency would ever be successful. If people don't understand how crypto works than people will not be able to see the benefit of it and they will be easily susceptible to thinking a ban like this would be in the best interest of the people.
