Revolutionary War History Lesson - The Battle for Kings Mountain
In our family, we value history. We are blessed to be Americans. We are thankful for our God-given rights. The freedoms we have were hard-fought and hard-won by our ancestors. So whenever its a commemorative holiday, we try to take the opportunity to go a little more in-depth about why we are blessed and honor our past. Without the sacrifice of so many, we would not have the freedoms of religion, peaceful assembly, and speech we enjoy every day (just to name a few).
This Independence Day, we invite you to explore the Battle for Kings Mountain with us as we visit the site of the turning point in the Revolutionary War. In this revolutionary war history lesson, we try, as always to teach our daughter from a Christian perspective as one of the main reasons many came to the colonies was to escape religious persecution.
