Revelation Lesson-21: A Respite of Grace - Part I

This is Lesson-21 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation.

The title for this lesson is: A Respite of Grace - Part I.

Our focus passage is Revelation 10:1-2.

In our previous episode, we concluded our teaching from Revelation 9, “Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed on Earth”.

Chapter 9 is focused on what will happen when the fifth and sixth angels sound their trumpets.

The result is that the first two of the three woes mentioned in the eagle’s warning at the end of chapter 8 will come to pass (cf. Rev. 8:13).

Chapters 8-9 were full of judgment and woe and John had to record everything. It must have been overwhelming.

But as we will see, he gets a bit of a break in Chapter 10. He gets a respite of grace.

It’s an interlude that extends to the first half of Rev. 11 when we finally get to the seventh angel sounding off his trumpet. It’s a short break, but it is a good one.
