House Democrats are blocking the CONFUCIUS Act, passed unanimously by the Senate, that would prevent funds from the $3.5 trillion infrastructure bill from going to universities that host the Confucius Institute. What happened to the consensus U.S. political circles had reached on preventing China from limiting free speech and spreading propaganda through the Confucius Institute? Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Alexander Milley, is in hot water following the revelation of secret phone calls to his Chinese counterpart without then-President Trump’s knowledge.
