St Anthimus the Blind is commemorated September 4 on the church calendar, September 17 on the civil calendar. The words which he said on his deathbed to his disciples have been preserved. Every one of the words applies to us, especially in our day of secular confusion, and false shepherds, and forced compliance, and all the rest. If we follow his words, we will enter into the kingdom of God, no matter what happens in his earthly kingdom.
