How to start a dream journal and what to include in the dream journal

The setup for your dream journal will depend on what the goal of it is.
Are you trying to understand your thoughts and emotions?
Put your sleep cycles back into balance?
Solve a problem?
OR Make your dreams lucid so that you can control them?
These will all affect what kinds of information you include in your diary.

Look for patterns in your dream:
As you progress with your journal, you can start to look for elements that are consistent across your dreams like for instants –
• Are you always in a certain place or time?
• Is there a certain person always there with your of are you alone?
• Is there particular plant, animal or other objects that always shows up?
• AND - Are you or anyone else in the dream always feeling a certain way?
1 – First, you need to choose a notebook
2 - The first thing you do when you wake up is to write down everything you remember from your dream.
3 – Write down as much detail as you can.: this include where you are in your dream, with who you were, what time of the day, what sounds did you hear, the colors your see, how you feel emotionally, and other sensations that you experience.
4 – Compare your dreams to your waking life.
