STUDY GUIDE

We should be students of a greater desire to study the Holy Spirit.

In 1947 brother Smith Wigglesworth, a true servant of God, prophesied that at the end of the age there would be a marrying of the Word and the Spirit.

There would be two distinct moves that came first and many would think that that was the appointed time. But he said by the Spirit neither of those is the last move. So those moves came. And we desire for that greater move.

Many are fearful of the move of the Spirit. Every time the Lord manifest Himself, it was fear not. So we don't need to be afraid of God.

1 Corinthians 12 :1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

God doesn't want us to be ignorant of things pertaining to and of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a Person. he's not an it . he's not a ghost that shows up or leaves on a whim. He is a person, and these are things that we find in the concerning Him:

He is God.
He has attributes.
He has a personality.
He has functions.
There are over 50 names in the Word of God for the Holy Spirit.
There are symbols that represent the Holy Spirit; dove, fire, oil, wind, water, wine.
He showed forth Himself in the ministry of Jesus.
He is a great comforter.
He has a dual work; being born of the Spirit and being filled with the Spirit.
He manifests in salvation.
He manifest Himself at pentecost.
He was in demonstration in the book of Acts.
And in Christ's ministry when He walked on the earth.
He manifests in ministry.
He will manifest in prayer.
He truly is manifesting in these last days.
He will visit and manifest the spiritually hungry.

We don't make these demonstrations happen. That's where people can get into error.
They may pray. They may get a line. They may get something, and they think it's for right then.

Praying in tongues claiming somebody else's husband, somebody else's home, somebody else's car is nonsense. That is not God's nature or His character.

If you don't leave with anything today, leave with this permanent thought, let it seer in your very heart: it is the spoken Word that you release through your mouth that God's Spirit can work with. Nothing else.

Confession is obedience to God's guidance and instruction in His Holy Written Word.

Philemon 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual.

Here are some demonstrations of the Spirit:
Dancing in the Spirit.
Manifestation of physical death.
Being drunk in the Spirit.
Laughter.
Joy.
Dumb in the Spirit.
Falling under the power.
Gifts of the Spirit.
Leaping.
Running in the Spirit.
Shouting in the Spirit.

All of these are manifestations of the Spirit.
