The authorities also indicated that the earthquake resulted in the collapse of 22 houses and the damage of dozens of houses, as well as cutting off communications in some parts of the area.
At least three people were killed and 60 others injured in an earthquake in southwest China's Sichuan Province, CGTN reported, citing local authorities.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported that a 6.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded in southwest China at 20.33 pm (23.33 Moscow time) on Wednesday.
The epicenter was located 50 kilometers northeast of the Niijiang metropolitan area, at a depth of 40 kilometers.
According to the authorities, nearly 7,000 people were evacuated due to the earthquake, which destroyed 35 homes.

The quake hit Luxian County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, southwest China, said Xinhua.
According to local authorities, the victims and injured were recorded in Caoba Village, Fuji Town, Luxian County, and the earthquake struck at 4:33 am on Thursday, also causing the collapse of some houses.
The Chinese Center for Seismological Networks stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was monitored at the confluence of latitude at 29.2 degrees north, longitude at 105.34 degrees east, and at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The Sichuan Earthquake Relief Headquarters decided to activate a level two emergency response, which is the second highest level in China's four-tier earthquake emergency response system

أشارت السلطات أيضاً إلى أن الزلزال أسفر عن انهيار 22 منزلاً وتضرّر عشرات المنازل، كما أدّى إلى انقطاع الاتصالات في بعض أنحاء المنطقة.
لقى ما لا يقل عن ثلاثة أشخاص مصرعهم وأصيب 60 آخرون فى زلزال ضرب مقاطعة سيتشوان بجنوب غرب الصين ، حسبما ذكرت شبكة "CGTN" نقلا عن السلطات المحلية.
وأبلغ مركز رصد الزلازل الأوروبي المتوسطي (EMSC) أنه تم تسجيل زلزال بقوة 6 درجات في جنوب غرب الصين في الساعة 20.33 مساءا (23.33 بتوقيت موسكو) يوم الأربعاء.
ويقع مركز الزلزال على بعد 50 كيلومترا شمال شرق منطقة نيجيانغ الحضرية، وعلى عمق 40 كيلومترا.
وبحسب السلطات ، تم إجلاء قرابة 7 آلاف شخص على خلفية الزلزال الذي أدى إلى تدمير 35 منزلا.

وأوضحت وكالة "شينخوا" الصينية أن الزلزال ضرب محافظة لوشيان بمدينة لوتشو في مقاطعة سيتشوان بجنوب غربي الصين.
وأفادت السلطات المحلية بأن الضحايا والمصابين سُجلوا في قرية تساوبا ببلدة فوجي في محافظة لوشيان، ووقع الزلزال تحديدا عند الساعة 4:33 فجر اليوم الخميس، متسبباً أيضاً بانهيار بعض المنازل.
وذكر المركز الصيني لشبكات رصد الزلازل إن مركز الزلزال رُصد عند التقاء خط العرض على الدرجة 29.2 شمالاً، وخط الطول على الدرجة 105.34 شرقاً، وعلى عمق 10 كيلومترات.
يشار إلى أن مقر الإغاثة من الزلازل في سيتشوان قرر تفعيل استجابة طوارئ من المستوى الثاني، الذي يمثل ثاني أعلى مستوى في نظام الاستجابة لطوارئ الزلازل الصيني المؤلف من أربعة مستويات.
كما أطلقت مدينة لوتشو استجابة طوارئ من المستوى الأول، وأرسلت على الفور موظفين لمباشرة أعمال التحقيق في الكوارث والإغاثة. ولا تزال أعمال الإغاثة والإنقاذ مستمرة.
