Salt Pond Restoration

The second largest wetland restoration project in the U.S. is located along the San Francisco Bay where a salt production company used the natural area for solar salt production. But what remains now is an eco-wasteland. On this day a group of teens have volunteered their time to remove unwanted vegetation and plant seedlings natural to the habitat.
