Dangerous antenna tower near Beaumont, KS (07S)

Recently an antenna tower was erected just 1/4 mile from the community of Beauont, KS. Because The Beaumont Hotel and Cafe is a popular destination for small airplane pilots, the tower is especially dangerous because of its close proximity to the runway. To make the situation especially dangerous, the towers lights are non functioning so it is difficult to see from a small airplane. Also we suspect the tower was erected without prior approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) because the tower is not listed on aeronautical sectional maps. This means that pilots are not aware of its existence. Consequently, pilots and passengers of small airplanes traveling in the area are in grave danger.
