One of the services we provide at Oryx Consulting is equipment inspections. We thought we would bring you along for one of our recent inspections. Our good friends at MHJ Heavy Equipment Trading in Dubai wanted us to give one of their recent purchases a once over.

Inspecting equipment is all about looking for the "telltale" signs like lack of maintenance, abuse and in some cases an underlying problem. In this video we hope to show you some of what we look at and some of the telltale signs we look for. Now this is not one of our full inspections however it is a great insight into where to look and what to look for.

Different parts of the world require different types of inspections. For example a piece of equipment to be used in this part of the world it is very important to inspect cooling systems and A/C systems. If you are sending this to a cold climate the heater taps and heater hoses would need a very close look. Coming from a hot climate these would more than likely have the heater taps turned off and would have never been opened.

Knowing your equipment, knowing your customer is very important. As this is our first type of these videos we are learning so we promise they will get better. We all have to start somewhere, that is for sure, so we apologise now for the audio. We will need to get some better equipment to handle this side. She was a tropical 46 degrees celsius too!
