One of my personal Life Hacks that I use to help me navigate thru my house.

0:02 RP Dad logo slides in from the left. It has the Words RP Dad & a line drawing of an eye is slashes thru half of the left side to indicate low/no vision.
0:04 The words 'LifeHacks!' appear then go away
0:06 A man in his 30s with short brown hair, eyeglasses, & a large beard is talking
0:17 Image changes to show a yellow wall, maroon carpet, & an outlot with a night light plugged into it. The night light is to the right of the cameraman (me :) )
0:34 Image pans up and then to the left to show another night light
0:40 Image pans down and up to show both night lights
0:42 Camera start moving down the hall towards the 2nd light
0:51 The other night light is plugged into an outlet on the left side. It is a green wall.
0:54 The camera pans to the left and shows the 1st night light
1:15 Image changes back to the 1st night light.
1:18 RP Dad unplugs the night light. It is about 6 inches long by 3 fingers wide. It plugs in horizontally. It has a white opaque front cover and is a stretched/squished oval shape.
1:27 The light sensor is a rounded bubble about the size of a pea
1:50 RP Dad plugs the night light back into the outloet.
2:01 RP Dad switches to LIGHT SENSING mode and proceeds to cover and uncover the sensor to change the light intensity.
2:18 RP Dad switches it to OFF
2:27 RP Dad switches to ALWAYS ON

Hello guys!
Welcome back to RP Dad!
Today I want to tell you
about 1 of the life hacks that
I have in my house.
The night lights.
Now you may be thinking
that night lights are for little kids,
but for someone with low vision,
it can help point out important landmarks.
Like this wall here in this hallway.
Down the hall
we have another one.
So we got 2 points of reference here.
And if we come down to this other one,
we know exactly where the wall is.
Swing back this way,
you can clearly see where the hallway is.
And for sighted people,
you are gonna see a lot more light
than I do at this point in my RP life.
Alright, let's see what this looks like.
Pull it out here.
You can see it's just a pretty simple design.
There is actually a light sensor on top here,
and then a switch on the bottom to toggle
3 different modes.
We have OFF, LIGHT SENSING, & ALWAYS ON.
I prefer the ALWAYS ON,
because if you turn it to the LIGHT SENSING,
it sometimes doesn't light up very bright.
It's kind of inconsistent.
So just switch here...
You can kinda see it gets brighter
depending on how much coverage of light there is,
so there is the option if it's too bright for you,
or if you want that light sensing then you can use that.
There's the OFF.
And back ON again.
So I'll post a link in the Description.
I believe I got these off Amazon.
So I'll see you in the next video.
Thanks for watching!
