Straw-men have a fundamental flaw in their reasoning that you don't have to pay it! That flaw is how it was introduced, by what law, the British Parliament stole from your community the Business Rate Tax and put it into central funds (communism) they pay for their bureaucracy and waste with our community taxes. Then they gave power to the local council to impose a council tax (hearth tax of sorts). But by doing this they deflected the anger of the people away from them and to your local council.
